Most Leybold TURBOVAC TMP models produce a clean, hydrocarbon free vacuum at an ultimate pressure of <10-10 mbar. Other features of the TMP models include grease lubricated bearings that permit the pump to operate in any desired angular position, while retaining the advantages of single axial flow construction; dynamic balancing of the pump's replaceable rotor/spindle assembly produces silent running with minimal vibration; the turbine and drive assembly with internal motor are mounted in a stainless steel housing; the pump motor is protected from overheating by a thermal switch, which turns off the pump's frequency converter if the pump motor exceeds its safe operating temperature limit; a heat treated aluminum alloy is used for the rotor assembly; the complete drive assembly including bearings and motor is located in the fore vacuum space.

COMPLETELY DRY, LUBRICANT-FREE VACUUM PUMP WITH VAPOR HANDLING Innovative XDS Dry Pumps were designed by Edwards (formerly BOC Edwards) to provide vacuum totally free of lubricants. Bearings are isolated from the vacuum environment by a patented XDS bearing shield. Uniquely, there are no bearings, grease or oil under vacuum and no bearing purge. Controllable gas ballast is standard and makes the XDS suitable for pumping condensable vapors.The versatile XDS uses a scroll mechanism and is manufactured by Edwards (formerly BOC Edwards), the market leader in dry pumping products and technology. XDS35i dry vacuum pump The XDS35i pump has the same innovative patented bearing shield design as the XDS5 and XDS10. Leybold ModUL-200
This is the ModUL version which is the versetile version that allows for a variety of backing pumps to be used. This small portable helium leak detector is very light (67 lbs./30.5 kg) which includes the hand held control. The performance is smallest detectable leak rate of 5 x 10-11 atm- cc/sec with an upper limit of 3 mbar (2 torr). Detectable masses, amu: 2,3,4. This particular unit has very few original hours.
